More camping...that we never finished

So, we never finished this, and I'm not sure how to just add pictures in a single column. I tried, but it put them all screwy. Anyway, after seeing the condors, we went for a hike and saw some waterfalls. Then, we played on these beautiful beaches where we found tons of purple sand! It was fun. We watched and listened to the waves for a long while. We raced up some giant sand hills and goofed around on some rocks. We ate a bag of goldfish and walked in the water. It was a great day.

Unfortunately, we only had time for a short trip. We had to head back to school and work. But on our way, we saw all sorts of neat things! We drove past a beach of giant sea lions, a herd of zebras in a cow pasture, a castle on a hill, tons of windmills, and this lovely rainbow. Our trip was amazing. We can't wait to go on another one sometime soon!

I figured it out!

Yay! I finally figured out how to change our background or template or whatever you want to call it, to something a little cooler! We're excited. Let's see, an update on the Copelands...we are currently staying very busy. Emily is still working at Red Robin, but finished a dental assistant course last month and is trying to find a job in a dental office, hopefully we find one soon! Other than that, she keeps busy cleaning and doing laundry. Scott stays very busy with school and work. He is thinking of switching his major to nursing and specializing in anesthesiology. We are excited to see where this will take us! Well, we got to run to work for now, but we'll try to keep this updated!

Day 3-California Camping

Rock Climbing was a blast, but we had to move on to see other new sights! We drove out to Big Sur on New Year's Eve. We were supposed to be camping, but while driving along the Coastal highway, we noticed a huge black cloud coming inland from the ocean. How could we miss that? It was enormous! So, we decided we better take a raincheck on the camping, and find a cabin. We were lucky to find one! This state park was packed for the holidays!

New Year's Eve, we tried to stay up to midnight, but we are light weights. We entertained ourselves with Scrabble and cookies and milk for awhile, but it just didn't work. We were pased out pretty early:)

The next day, we began to explor. Big Sur was beautiful. Look at the Redwoods we were in! There were also palm trees, evergreens, rocky cliffs, sandy beaches. It was amazing. We hiked to an overlook to check out McWay Falls. We then continued to drive and spotted a California Condor! They were near to extinction a few years back, but they bred them like crazy to keep them alive. They have wing spans of 12 feet! Sorry they don't look that big in the picture:)

Oops! I gotta run. I'll continue this later!

Our Baby...

We both love to ride on motorcycles. Emily was very upset when Scott sold his last one to buy her engagement ring. But it turned out ok in the end. We found an awesome deal on a bike we both loved! It is king of the road as it is the biggest bike made and fast like a sport bike with the comfort of a cruiser. One day, Emily might even be lucky enough to get a bike of her own! not that she doesn't enjoy hanging on to Scott while cruising around....oh love.

Day 2 of California camping

After a rough night(coyotes were surrounding the camp all night trying to get into the dumpsters), we woke up to a beautiful morning. We packed up our gear and headed into the park to do some rock climbing! It was a blast climbing on an extinct volcano. Scott's picture above is alot better than the one of me below. oh well. We were really just trying to show how blue the sky was:)

California Camping

We were fortunate enough to take a vacation last week. We drove to Central California to go camping. On our drive down, we were able to stay with Emily's sister Michelle, and her family. It was great to spend a little bit of time with them, especially since Michelle was sweet enough to cook Emily one of her favorite breakfasts for her birthday! We ate delicious french toast, bacon, and sausage. Then we continued on our long journey. We saw all sorts or cool things and not so cool things. We drove through a boring desert, beautiful mountains, endless vineyards, and finally arrived at our first destination, Pinnacles National Monument. Pinnacles is an extinct volcano. We camped here for the first night.
