Moms and Husbands

It is weird to think that I am a mom. I have a new respect for moms and how much they do for everyone in the family. It is alot of work! I also have gained alot of respect for the role that husbands play in the family. Needless to say, I am very grateful for my mom and my husband. They have helped me so much in the past two weeks since Maddox was born. My mom flew out for the first week to help us out. Between her and Scott, they took care of me while I was trying to heal, took care of my sweet Maddox, and the entire house. I was afraid to give Maddox his first bath, so my sweet mother did it for us:) While Scott would be out grabbing food, or running other errands for us, my mom would be cleaning the house and doing laundry. They were both very supportive to me as an emotional first time mom, having no idea what I was doing. I am very grateful that I had these two with me in the first few weeks to keep me going. I love you guys! So, here are a few pictures of Maddox with Scott and my mom.

seriously, what would we do without our moms in those first few weeks??

having kids has taught me that no matter what i may disagree with my parents on from when i was growing up, they are amazing people just for raising four kids and keeping us all alive. :) haha. that alone is a feat.

now just wait until the first time you get really sick with maddox around. i can still vividly remember the first time i got sick after elena was born. it was a definite wake-up call. i officially felt like a mom. it stinks when you are sick and just want to lie around and baby yourself, but there is a little person there who still needs you 24/7.

hooray for good husbands, too! :)
